Located in the heart of The Vista, Finlay Park is one of the most well-known parks in South Carolina. If you’re looking for a nice evening stroll, a place to let the kids play safely, or an opportunity to listen to local music, then Finlay Park has it.
Opened in 1991, Finlay Park is named in honor of the late Kirkman Finlay, Jr., mayor of Columbia from 1978 to 1986. Finlay Park boasts a beautiful waterfall and stream that flows gracefully along promenades before reaching the park’s lake. Porch swings line the top of Finlay Park, giving on-lookers a picturesque view of the park. The park also has walking paths, two playgrounds and a café for its visitors.
