Columbia Greek Festival
For over 25 years, the residents of Columbia have enjoyed the annual Greek Festival held every September in the heart of the city. The festival lasts for four days and takes place from Thursday to Sunday. A very family-friendly event, the fair offers hours of entertainment for even the youngest patrons.
Live Greek music is played all day and there are Greek folk dance performances throughout the weekend. There is plenty of food available for purchase including lunch and dinner entrees which are served with spinach peta, Greek salad and bread. A la carte options include gyros, Greek fries, Greek donuts and so much more! Enjoy authentic Greek pastries or Greek coffee for dessert.
After eating to your heart’s content, tour the sanctuary, stop by the grocery store for Greek staples or browse through the vendors for Greek mementos. A bouncy house and other rides keep the little ones entertained while you enjoy the music. All of this promises to be a great experience for you and your family!
The festival takes place on the corner of Sumter and Calhoun streets. Please visit http://columbiasgreekfestival.com/ for more information, such as a full menu and a schedule of events.
