May I Recommend:

Occasionally I pick up one of those "Better Homes" magazines and flipping through it, I get the feeling that no one really lives within the gorgeous rooms that grace its pages. Those pictures are in the magazine to sell ads around,,,, nobody really lives like that. Then last month, I got an invitation to attend a Chili Luncheon at Gigi Willett's home in Camden, and as I walked in through her back door, I felt like I had stepped inside of one of those magazine photographs. Gigi knows how to decorate. She invited me to look around, and it was truly a treat. Would you like a new look for a room in your home, or are you wishing for a total home do-over? Gigi owns a Decorating Den franchise, which means she is in the business of transforming drab to fab! And she offers a free one hour consultation where she'll meet you in your home, listen to your ideas, learn about your budget and give you tips on what it will take to make your surroundings beautiful, usable and within budget. Call her today at (803) 699-5252 or visit her website for more info.

Save the Date! Dirty Rotten Scoundrels at Town Theatre!
January 20 – February 4, 2012

Based on the popular 1988 film, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels focuses on two con men residing on the French Riviera. Meet Lawrence – a suave and sophisticated type who makes his lavish living by talking rich ladies out of their money. Then there is Freddy – a small-time crook, who more humbly swindles women by earning their compassion through his fictitious fables about his grandmother’s failing health. Lawrence and Freddy soon discover that their small French town is only big enough for one of them. With neither swindler willing to depart without a fight, they agree to a contest. The first con man to extort $50,000 from Christine Colgate, a young female heiress, wins the right to keep hustling the residents of the Riviera. The loser must leave town.

Stealing the stage (pun intended) as our two thieves are Kyle Collins (Plaid Tidings, South Pacific) and Doug Gleason (White Christmas) as Lawrence and Freddy. Heiress Christine Colgate is played by Giulia Dalbec-Matthews (Damn Yankees, Gypsy). Other women falling prey to our conniving cons are Kathryn Seppamaki-Milliron (The Wizard of Oz) as the sophisticated Muriel Eubanks and Rene Little (in her Town debut) as Oklahoma’s oil heiress Jolene Oakes. Throw in the local chief of police portrayed by Charlie Goodrich (Annie, The King and I), and you are sure to be entertained by this clever battle of the cons.
