Arnold plans student apartments   on Huger Street

Ben Arnold’s rental   apartment plans, called the Monarch at USC, will be presented before the city   of Columbia’s Design/Development Review Commission on July 12. The project   only requires a single vote of approval from the commission to move foward.

S.C. online job listings climb by   4,000 in June

Advertised job openings   posted online rose by 232,000 nationally, according to The Conference Board   Help Wanted Online. Across the South, listings rose 93,000. The increase   included jobs for nurses, truck drivers, Web developers, paralegals and   teachers.

Columbia agency receives $240K to   aid veterans

Fast Forward helps   veterans obtain the technology and business skills needed to re-enter the   workforce. The nonprofit organization received grants from the U.S. Labor   Department through the Homeless Veterans Reintegration Program.

Boral Stone expanding Chester   County operations

Boral Stone Products   plans to add new equipment and create three new jobs with its $6 million   investment. The Chester County facility manufactures stone veneer products   for interior and exterior residential and commercial applications.

Government property sale set in   Newberry

Four properties in the   Newberry area will be sold. The auction will take place at the Newberry   Community Hall at 1207 Caldwell St. at 11 a.m. July 11. All properties are   currently accepting auction bids online.
