The Georgia-based company announced today plans to open a new material recovery facility in Duncan, creating 30 new jobs. The facility will serve the recycling needs of businesses and municipalities within a 100-mile radius, an official said.
New and expanding industries that sign up before Dec. 31, 2014 could save as much as 20% on their electric bills in the first four years of operations. The rate will be available in the cooperatives’ territories in all 46 counties of South Carolina.
Michael Morris, of the firm’s Columbia office, and Geoffrey Osborn Jr., of Rogers Townsend’s Greenville office, were elected shareholders. Both earned their J.D. from the University of South Carolina.
Southcon Building Group is seeking a full-time business development director in Mount Pleasant. Responsibilities include day-to-day and overall management of the company’s business development initiatives. Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in business or marketing.
