Redden to chair S.C. Bankers   Association

Rick Redden has been   named the 112th chairman of the S.C. Bankers Association. As regional   president of Wells Fargo, Redden leads the bank’s sales, service and growth   strategies for retail, small business, business banking and private banking   in South Carolina.

Colonial Life names five to new   management roles

Jeff Koll, Steven   Johnson, Michelle White, Richard Dunlap and Belinda Maffei have new roles at   Colonial Life & Accident Insurance Co. The Columbia-based company   provides insurance benefits for employees and their families through the   workplace.

EdVenture names new trustees,   officers

Nine local business   executives and community leaders have been elected to the 2012-2013 board of   trustees. Chris Kopecky, chief accounting officer at Edens, will chair the   EdVenture board.

Nominate a Health Care Hero

Columbia Regional   Business Report will pay homage to the health care field at an awards dinner   in October, honoring volunteers, nurses, doctors, researchers, first responders   and others who touch lives in the Midlands. The deadline to nominate a Health Care Hero   is Aug. 3.
