SCE&G seeks 2.4% rate hike   for natural gas customers

If approved by state   regulators, the rate increase would raise about $8.8 million in revenue and   be effective for the first billing cycle in November. Even with the proposed   rate increase, customer bills on average will be down from a year ago,   SCE&G said.

US Foods wins $64M military   contract

The company’s Lexington   County facility will be the prime vendor of food and beverages for U.S.   service members and federal employees. The contract, awarded by the Defense   Logistics Agency Troop Support in Philadelphia, expires June 16, 2013.

  Cummins Turbo Technologies   expanding in S.C.

The designer and   manufacturer of turbochargers for diesel engines is adding a new building and   expanding its office space at its campus in the Palmetto Commerce Park in   Charleston County. The $19.5 million investment is expected to generate 76   jobs.

Battiste named president of   Columbia museum board

Luther Battiste has been   named the new board president of the Columbia Museum of Art. He has served on   the board since 2009 and has funded the museum since the 1980s. Battiste is   an attorney and managing shareholder of Johnson, Toal and Battiste P.A.
