FedEx to offer some workers voluntary   buyouts

Most of the workers   eligible for the buyouts are assigned to FedEx Express and FedEx Services   units. The shipper has 300,000 employees worldwide, including about 1,700   S.C. employees.

AGY Holding posts $4.9M loss in   Q2

Revenue for the   Aiken-based maker of fiberglass yarns was down in the second quarter to $46.5   million from $50 million in the year-earlier quarter. S.C. forestry company acquires   seedling supplier

ArborGen finished its   acquisition of CellFor, the world’s largest loblolly pine seedling developer.   ArborGen said the acquisition strengthens its position in the U.S. pine   market, giving it the ability to introduce a broader base of pine varietal   products at a lower cost.

Nickelodeon Theatre names   director of operations

Heather Bauer will   oversee the box office, concessions and theater staff at the Nickelodeon   Theatre’s new space at 1607 Main St., Columbia.
