S.C. the ‘it’ state at   international airshow, Haley says

Gov. Nikki Haley said the   Farnborough International Airshow in England allows state officials to work   on lining up new prospects. Members of the S.C. Commerce Department have had   about 50 meetings with various aerospace firms at the airshow, she said.

SAIC contract to help speed intel   to troops

A South Carolina defense   contractor will be part of a team that provides system design and testing for   a U.S. Army initiative to decrease the time it takes to gather intelligence   and deliver it to troops on the battlefield. The work on the $37 million contract   will be performed in Charleston; Alexandria, Va.; and Aberdeen, Md.
 

 

         
   

   

 

Two fast-food restaurants to open   on Devine Street

Moe’s Southwest Grill and   Smashburger plan to locate new facilities at 4601 Devine St. in Columbia. NAI   Avant senior broker Ben Kelly represented the seller in the transaction   valued at $700,000.

BlueCross, Bon Secours physicians   form partnership

BlueCross BlueShield of   S.C. and Bon Secours Medical Group have partnered on a program to create   medical homes for patients with diabetes, hypertension or congestive heart   failure. Through the program, BlueCross will pay practices to keep costs low.
