South Carolina GDP growth trails   nation

Real gross domestic   product grew 1.2% in S.C. last year, down a percentage point from 2010 and   just behind the U.S. average of 1.5%, according to data released by the U.S.   Bureau of Economic Analysis.

S.C. Supreme Court hears river   deepening arguments

Justices heard from   attorneys with the Southern Environmental Law Center, the Savannah River   Maritime Commission and the S.C. Department of Health and Environmental   Control during today’s oral arguments over a controversial permit to deepen   the Savannah River.

 

 

         
   

   


  PGA organizers unveil traffic   plans

Guests attending the PGA   Championship on Kiawah Island will be herded into a single public parking lot   and bused to the course, according to the traffic plan revealed Monday. More   than 200,000 people are expected to attend the tournament in August.

BNC Bancorp raises capital,   acquires bank

  Gov. Haley appoints state fire   marshal

Shane Ray has 26 years of   experience in fire and emergency services. For the last seven months, Ray has   served as superintendent of the South Carolina Fire Academy. He will take   over as state fire marshal from Adolf Zubia.

Collins to be faculty member at   National Trial College
