Nephron markets alternative   inhaler for asthma suffers

CEO Lou Kennedy said the   new product, which is an alternative to a popular inhaler medication   withdrawn from the market, has huge potential to grow Nephron’s business and   make it a more recognizable brand. She said the medication will be manufactured   in Nephron’s new plant being built near Cayce.

SCE&G, Catawba Riverkeeper   reach settlement

As part of the   settlement, SCE&G agreed to remove all the coal ash now stored in ponds   at its Wateree Station to lined landfill storage away from the Wateree River   or recycling of the ash. Continental to unveil new truck   tires in Dallas

Continental Tire the   Americas says its new commercial truck tires offer better mileage and wear   than its predecessors. Engineers of the Fort Mill-based company will showcase   the tires at the Great American Truck Show in Dallas, which begins Thursday.

S.C. construction employment down   in July

South Carolina lost 1,100   construction jobs in July compared with June, while construction employment   was down 2,200 from a year ago, according to a recent analysis by the   Associated General Contractors of America. SCE&G: Summer project on   schedule, under budget

South Carolina Electric   & Gas, which owns 55% of the reactor project, recently filed a quarterly   update with state regulators that said 76 of 146 separate construction   milestones have been reached.
