Girl Scouts chapter buys former Ag building for $2.8M

The organization plans to use the building as its Leadership Center, which will be a premier destination for the scouts. Activities at the new center will focus on the national Girl Scout Leadership Experience that promotes an advocacy and leadership curriculum.

Fla. golf retailer aquires Columbia Golf Headquarters

Edwin Watts Golf Shops LLC, a Florida-based specialty golf retailer, announced the acquisition of two Golf Headquarters stores in Columbia. The stores are located at 189 Harbison Blvd. and 7813 Two Notch Road. Each of the new locations will be converted into full-service Edwin Watts Golf Shops.


Construction barometer drops in fourth quarter

The Construction Barometer's 2.2% fall was mainly due to fears of construction inflation, likely arising from food and energy price increases, according to information released today by the Carolinas AGC, a construction trade association.
