Wall Street investor Darla Moore, who has donated $70 million to the university since 1998, was ousted in favor of Lexington lawyer Thomas Cofield, the governor’s office confirmed this morning.

Health Sciences South Carolina, BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina and the S.C. Hospital Association have formed the S.C. Partnership for Health to improve the experience of care, improve the health of populations and reduce per capita costs of health care.

Glass manufacturer to expand in Chester County

Guardian Industries Corp. said it plans to invest $45 million to expand its current operations, including installation of an advanced technology coating machine that will enable the facility to produce highly energy-efficient glass for residential and commercial buildings.

Home sales slump in Midlands in February

The greater Columbia housing market dropped 16.6% year over year in February, with 412 sales compared with 494 homes sold in February 2010, according to the S.C. Association of Realtors.

 



Richland County Bar names co-chair of Young Lawyers
