Transwestern Investment   Sales Group, the sales agent for the 17-story downtown Columbia office   building, said a deal on the building has not been completed but interest has   been strong. Transwestern issued a last call for offers on July 25.

Chester Wood Products to invest   $10M in S.C. facility

The maker and distributor   of wood products for the industrial and commercial construction markets plans   to invest $10 million and create 20 jobs to expand its Chester County   facility. The company plans to upgrade its hardwood plywood production   operation.

 

 

         
   

   

 

Mercom to expand Georgetown   County operations

Mercom Corp., a provider   of network technology services, said the $1 million investment is expected to   create 30 jobs. The expansion of Mercom’s Pawleys Island facility will help   meet increasing demand for its services, the company said.

Gatchell joins Moore Beauston   & Woodham

Accounting firm Moore   Beauston & Woodham LLP hired Charles A. Gatchell in the firm’s Hartsville   office as a manager in its tax practice. Gatchell has 14 years of experience   in public accounting and two years of experience in private manufacturing   accounting.
