FAA certifies Boeing’s 787 for production

The Federal Aviation Administration gave the Boeing Co. the go-ahead to begin manufacturing its 787 Dreamliner planes. The approval is the result of an eight-year application process.

Clyburn to host forum on federal spending cuts

U.S. Rep. James Clyburn, D-S.C., will host a public forum Tuesday at Voorhees College to discuss priorities in his role as a member of the 12-member Congressional super-committee that has been tasked with deciding on more than $1 trillion in cuts to federal spending.

Small Business Chamber sets healthcare meetings

The events begin tonight at John’s Island and will be held in the Midlands and Upstate. Events offer small business owners chance to learn about new law and share ideas about how to implement it in South Carolina. Information also will be offered on small business health plan.

S.C. communities get sewer, water funds

About $16.3 million in Community Development Block Grant funds have been awarded to 37 communities across South Carolina, and will benefit more than 23,000 residents, the state Department of Commerce announced.

Health Care Facility sold in Lancaster for $2.1M

The former HealthSouth facility at 134 East Rebound Road in Lancaster, a 33,000 square foot health care office facility will be redeveloped for health care use, said Grubb & Ellis| Wilson Kibler said.
