Climax Global Energy plans new Barnwell facility

The new state-of-the-art plastics-to-oil recycling facility in Barnwell County will comprise a $5 million investment that is expected to generate 20 new jobs.

State’s metro areas hottest for jobs

While November’s employment report offered good news statewide, it highlighted differences in South Carolina’s three metro areas versus rural communities.The report showed jobless rates in the Charleston, Columbia and Greenville metro regions were at least 2 percentage points below the state average of 9.9%, according to the Department of Employment and Workforce.
