SCANA drops out of Fortune 500 list

For the first time since 2001, the Cayce-based energy provider missed the list for the 500 largest U.S. companies based on revenue. SCANA reported revenue for 2011 at $4.4 billion, down about $200 million, compared to $4.6 billion in 2010.

Alabama mover buys Sumter properties

Grubb & Ellis Wilson Kibler arranged the sale of two warehouses and a mini-storage facility for $850,000 to Coleman American Moving of Midland City, Ala. Coleman is an agent for Allied Van Lines.

 


US Fibers expanding Edgefield County facility

The recycling company plans to invest $5.5 million at its Trenton facility and create 48 new jobs. Since the beginning of 2010, the S.C. Commerce Department said it has recruited more than $430 million in capital investment in the recycling-related sector.

Two charged with theft from union’s vacation fund

The amount allegedly stolen from the Plumbers and Steamfitters Local Union 150 was not released. Danny Lee Key, 58, of North Augusta, and George Byron Herrington, 63, of Martinez, Ga., face a maximum penalty of five years imprisonment and $250,000 in fines.
