Former Columbia city employee sentenced

Damon McDuffie, 35, of Columbia, was sentenced Friday to 15 months in prison, to be followed by a three-year term of supervised release, for extorting, soliciting and accepting illegal kickbacks, United States Attorney Bill Nettles said.
