SCDOT to host hearings on impact of regulations
The hearings are a result of the recently formed Regulatory Review Task Force, established by Gov. Nikki Haley. The task force is charged with evaluating the state’s regulatory impact on businesses and to propose recommendations to ease that impact.
SC Works to host Midlands job fair
Many of the 100 vendors signed up for Monday’s job fair in West Columbia are planning to hire within the next three months. The event will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Brookland Baptist Church.

Cummins Marine cuts 50 Lowcountry jobs
In November, Cummins Marine announced it would be moving upfitting work from its North Charleston facility to North Carolina. At the time, the company wasn’t sure how many employees would be affected, but it has updated the projections since.
