Yandle sees economic growth, despite oil price spike

The U.S. economy appears poised to achieve "meaningful" expansion this year, despite rapidly rising oil prices, economist Bruce Yandle asserts in his latest economic analysis published by the Strom Thurmond Institute at Clemson University.

Point-of-sale repeal passes House subcommittee

The so-called point-of-sale provision is widely hated by the real estate industry, which blames the reset provision for slumping real estate transactions. But cities and towns, represented by the Municipal Association of South Carolina, defend the point-of-sale provision as necessary to ensure their revenues keep pace with the cost of providing services.

UnitedHealthcare files protest of government contract

Midlands Tech receives grant from Bank of America
