Banking exec named president of Columbia College

Elizabeth A. Dinndorf, an attorney and former banking executive from Minnesota, will succeed Caroline Whitson, who will retire as president of Columbia College on June 30. Fundraising and growing enrollment will be among Dinndorf’s major goals as president.

Michelin launches new tire for U.S. motorists

The company, which has its North American headquarters in Greenville, said the new Defender tire is being manufactured at its facilities in the Upstate and Lexington, plus a half-dozen other locations. The company offers a 90,000-mile warranty on the model.
