Study shows BlueCross BlueShield has $4.8B impact

An economic impact study by the Darla Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina shows that BlueCross BlueShield employs more than 10,000 people statewide. Overall, the Columbia-based organization is “either directly or through hired contractors and temporary positions” responsible for 26,324 jobs.

Governor's School unveils S.C. engineering program

High school students across the state will be offered the opportunity to finish their first year of college engineering work while still in high school. The program, called Accelerate, is designed to cultivate the next generation of creative engineers and technical leaders.

 

NuScale: SRS pact a step toward SMR commercialization

Tech college system names apprenticeship director

Brad Neese will oversee the day-to-day operations of South Carolina Technical College System’s Apprenticeship Carolina program from a state perspective. Neese previously served as one of the original regional consultants for Apprenticeship Carolina.
