The German supplier of automotive components will add $80 million to its planned capital investment in Laurens County, bringing the total to $430 million, and boost estimated employment there to 1,200 from the original 900 jobs it announced last year. ZF continues construction work at the plant, which is expected to open in 2012.
The $9.3 million investment is expected to generate 300 new jobs over the next five years. ICI will locate its new facility in the former DANA building in the Orangeburg County/City Industrial Park and will do business there under the name EcoScapes Composites LLC.
