Wells Fargo brought its iconic stagecoach and team of four horses to Columbia’s Main Street today to mark the rebranding of its former Wachovia stores. Wells Fargo also announced $165,000 in charitable gifts.
Gary Lee Gillion, 51, of Irmo, was sentenced in U.S. District Court to 33 months in prison, after being convicted in June for conspiracy to commit mail fraud in connection with a trailer-leasing scheme.

The U.S. Small Business Administration is providing $202,669 in grants to South Carolina small businesses to help increase exports. This is a portion of the $30 million in grants nationwide. It will provide support to firms that will include market research, travel and interpretation.

The Gel Group Inc. has an opening for an analyst in training in its radiochemistry laboratory – liquid scintillation prep lab. The position for the Charleston-based company is responsible for support of various laboratory functions. The duties of this position represent routine procedures that are carried out independently.
