Sonoco buys Britain’s Robinson Paperboard Packaging

Sonoco UK Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of Hartsville-based Sonoco, completed the acquisition of the assets of Robinson Paperboard Packaging Ltd., a division of Robinson PLC.

Fitch affirms SCANA and subsidiaries’ ratings

Fitch Ratings affirmed the BBB+ debt ratings of SCANA Corp. and its regulated subsidiaries S.C. Electric and Gas Co. and Public Service Co. of North Carolina. Fitch said the ratings of SCE&G reflect the substantial financial commitment of its plan to construct two nuclear units for service in 2016 and 2019.

Palmetto Health leases space in Stephenson Center

Palmetto Health Alliance has leased 13,000 square feet of office space in Columbia’s Stephenson Center, in a transaction valued at more than $1 million.

Bryant named chair of S.C. Bankers Association
