Palmetto Health breaks ground for new hospital

The $99 million, 76-bed facility will be a full-service hospital with services from obstetrics to 24/7 emergency care. It will employ 450 staffers.

Synovus swung to profit in Q3

SBA lending hits record in S.C.

Lending backed by the U.S. Small Business Administration increased 72% in South Carolina in the recent fiscal year, to nearly $200 million. The increase was driven by a big jump in allowable loan sizes, from $2 million to $5 million, the SBA said.
