While the economic recovery has been sluggish, Grubb & Ellis’ survey of business conditions in the Midlands showed some improvement in the office and industrial real estate markets. Columbia's industrial real estate market will benefit from its access to the Port of Charleston, highway infrastructure and Boeing in 2012, the report said.
The Columbia-based insurance services and technology company has received the Best of Business Award for insurance consulting and services from the Small Business Community Association. Dovetail Insurance developed an insurance-specific model designed to modernize transaction processing.

MUSC Physicians is seeking temporary trainers to teach physicians, clinical and non-clinical staff how to use Epic, an Electronic Medical Records system. A five-week training course is provided.
